Producing complex MI polymers at high throughputs can be a challenge. The main reason for insufficient output is the lack of water at the right spot.
If the center of the die plate is not surrounded by sufficient water high pellet recirculation, creation of agglomerates, cavitation followed by wear and higher energy consumption can be the consequence.
Moreover, too little water flow can lead to inefficient pellet cooling which also impairs the overall processing.
