Continuous Improvement Manager & Deputy QEHS Manager (m/w)

You are accountable for executing lean continuous improvement (CI) initiatives for our manufacturing facility in Oberglatt and you ensure the observance of ISO regulations as well as the legal requirements in terms of Quality, Environment, Health and Safety. As part of our Succession Planning the jobholder should take over the role of the Global Manager QEHS in 2024.

Your responsibilities

  • Communicate Lean CI vision to plant/functional leaders and implement lean CI strategy
  • Champion CI events, returning productivity improvements through core lean waste elimination concept
  • Support all operational excellence initiatives
  • Manage ISO audits (9001, 14001, 45001) within the MAAG Group globally
  • Monitor, CI, Productivity and EHS targets and communicate monthly results to plant / functional management
  • Participate in GEMBA walks and coach/mentor/train the plant/functional management team to deploy a consistent CI culture across the plant/functional areas
  • Teach problem-solving skills to all employees promote the use of problem-solving tools within the plant/functional areas and become a subject matter expert
  • Coach / mentor / train leaders and employees in terms of Quality and EHS
  • Investigate and analyze of Safety Incidents, plan and monitor corrective measures
  • Consult the Management in aspects of Quality Improvement and Customer Satisfaction

Your experience

  • Bachelor / Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Quality Management or related field
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification and / or Lean certification
  • Experience in Operations / Manufacturing with demonstrated process improvements
  • Ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional improvements successfully
  • Experience of leading Kaizen, deploying lean tools and principles as well as in design and conduct of trainings for different target groups
  • Experience in Quality Management and ISO Audits
  • Superior presentation skills and good command of Microsoft 365
  • Strong analytical skills and innovative mindset
  • Fluent German and English language skills
  • Willingness to travel (10-20%)
